When considering hiring a guide, what’s your bottom line? By that, I mean, what’s most important to you? My guess is, it’s either price or probability of success. I can assure you the former does not necessarily guarantee the latter. Likewise, going with a “bargain” outfitter doesn’t always mean you’re coming out ahead. Oats are typically cheaper once they’ve been through the horse.

The point I’m trying to make is simple. Price shouldn’t be your “make or break” consideration when choosing your guide. However, probability of success is what really matters. By success I don’t mean just fish count. It’s so much more than that.

It goes without saying that nothing in life is a sure thing. However, it certainly helps when you’ve got all the right variables in your favor. What variables am I talking about?

My name is Greg Montemurro. I own the Trout Lie Fishing Company and guide for Dreams on the Fly. I am a fishing coach, casting instructor, motivational speaker (sometimes psychologist), bird dog on the river, photographer, and all around down to earth, humble character. If you’d like to book your Owyhee trip with me, I’d love to spend the day on the river with you.

As I said before, there are absolutely no guarantees in life, but I will guarantee that you will get my absolute best. It’s your day and I’ll pull out all the stops to make it as memorable and successful as possible. I provide all the flies, leader, tippet, beverages, lunches, snacks, etc. I’ll also provide gear if necessary (rods, reels, waders, and so on).
